Hi Chris, glad to hear your contact is improving. With regards to ball flight it depends...
Did the ball start left and curve left OR did it start left and continue straight in that direction?
Any time there is a pulled shot, you've got a closed clubface (start direction). If the ball curves more left, the face is closed to the path of your swing.
Check your face angle in the swing and see at which points it may be closing. That's where I would start. Then work to get the face back to square.
Hi Grahame, keep your spine vertical from the face on view. If you pronounce the K more, you'll place too much stress on the lower back. Keep in mind the shoulders should turn in a circle to keep your contact point constant. Any movement of the shoulders would cause a roaming contact point. So, keep weight forward and make sure your shoulders turn in a circle from setup to finish.
The head should stay in place during the swing because of the combination of tilt and extension.
If you extended too much, your head would rise. If you keep your head in place and tilt, your body extends the correct amount.
My head doesn't rise, as I'm keeping it in place by tilting and extending. But my head would rise if I didn't tilt.
I've always felt a supporting trail hand and a steady lead arm. I imagine the trail hand driving through the ball towards the target in a "push motion". But this happens naturally for me. It's not a forced move.
